This is a circuit of about 7 miles from the Horseshoe Pass taking in part of the Offa's Dyke Path, and the summit of Cyrn y Brain (1,852'). Plus the ruins of Sir Watkins's Tower, that have links to the history of Jacobitism, the early days of the Romantic era in the arts, and what we know as 'Classical Music' appreciation in the UK.

If the weather is good there are great all round views of the Welsh and English hills.

The walk is mainly on good footpaths with a short section on a very quiet road, and two short sections that are boggy and rough-going.
