Starting from the car park at Rowarth we initially head east and then south towards the Set valley before looping around to climb  Lantern Pike from the south. From the summit we continue north to ascend the back of Cown Edge with spectacular views (hopefully) over towards Charlesworth. We then head south along a ridge back to Rowarth.

Total distance about 8 miles with 1350 ft elevation gain.

We will meet for 10:00 am at the car park in Rowarth. Please car pool if you can. You can use the satnav code for the nearby Little Mill Inn (SK22 1EB) to guide you to Rowarth but if you get to the Mill you have gone to far and need to turn around and take the first road on the right about 300 yards back. Please bring stout footware, waterproofs and a packed lunch.
