A classic Club day out for the shortest winter days! From the layby near Plymog farm on the A494 we walk up to join the Offa's Dyke Path and ascend Foel Fenlli with its fine hill fort. Then down the ramparts to rejoin the ODP's descent to Bwlch Pen Barras, and the main path up Moel Famau. The Clwyds ridge is usually bracing with good hill views.

Our descent is through the forest to the car park and toilets, then along lanes and paths back to the start. The walk is about 7 miles with around 2000' of ascent on good paths and tracks.
