Plynlimon 21st September 2023

Plynlimon is not often visited because it's in the middle of nowhere and stands only 752 m (just under 2,500 ft) but extraordinarily it is the source of both the Severn and the Wye.   Heswall to Ponterwyd is 105 miles and takes 2 hours 18 minutes.

Weather permitting, the plan is to climb to the summit and visit the source of the two rivers.

To allow for the drive, meet at the George Borrow Hotel (GR748808) at 10.15 for a 10.30 departure. We will drive up the unfenced road to Nant -y-Moch Reservoir to start.

Last time some stayed the night at the George Borrow and I have reserved some accomodation there for Thursday night, so first come first served on that, space is really limited.
