The Sett Valley Trail and the Torrs at New Mills.

Please meet at the car park at Hague Bar (GR986857) for 10:30am.

The walk is about 6.1 miles with about 1200 feet of ascent. The walk starts with a steep climb up to a local trig point at 327m (1070 feet), followed by a gentle descent to the Sett Valley trail and then through the Torrs in New Mills and return to the cars beside the river Goyt.

The car park is best accessed from the A6 in Disley by turning left onto Redhouse lane just before the White Lion. At the T junction go right onto Waterside road which takes you over the River Goyt. The car park is on the right just before you reach the railway line and the main road.

Please bring a packed lunch and stout footwear as it will probably be muddy. Please let me know that you are planning to join us.

Regards Mark
