This meet is aimed at anyone wishing to learn or improve their navigation skills. We will cover some of the basics of navigation and at the same time have an enjoyable walk out in the Carneddau range.

Meet at 09.00 at the long layby on the A5 on the left as you head West towards Llyn Ogwen (GR673605) - this is just past the Gwern Gof Uchaf campsite.

Our walk will go up towards Cwm Loer and on to Pen yr Ole Wen. We will follow the ridge to Carnedd Dafydd and Carnedd Llewelyn, before descending to Ffynnon Llugwy reservoir and back to our start point. 9 miles and about 3000ft of ascent, which should take about 6 hours - leaving time for a pint in the Tinny afterwards.

If you have a map of Snowdonia and compass, please bring them with you. If not, it doesn't matter - there will be plenty to share. Also bring a packed lunch.

Limited to max of 12 members.
