The area and details of the meet
The walk will take us through the moorland scenery of the Goyt valley to the centre of Buxton where we will visit Solomon's Temple before looping back into the Goyt valley by a path through Berry Clough and Goyt's Moss. The whole walk should be about 10 miles.

Solomon's Temple (left), is also known as Grinlow Tower and is a Victorian Fortified hill marker. It is said to have been built by Solomon Mycock in the 1890s, paid for by public subscription to provide work for the locally unemployed with assistance of the seventh Duke of Devonshire. The tower was restored in 1998 by public subscription. It does not contain anything other than the staircase to the top.
